The National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention will attract some of the best college athletes in the country from over 160 major universities like Georgia, Iowa State, Yale and UCLA to smaller colleges like Apprentice and Grays Harbor. More than 580 male and female athletes will qualify to make the trip to nationals.
The event dates for the championships and convention are March 9–11, 2023. The venue must have approximately 22,000 square feet for space with fixed seating for 4,500 (2,500 minimum). Locker rooms and shower facilities must be attached to competition space. There will also need to be areas for weigh-ins, vendors and meeting space for coaches.
The event will bring in up to 2,100 room nights. For a city to host the National Collegiate Wrestling Championships, the preference is to be within a 50 mile radius of a current NCWA member institution capable of assisting in hosting the event.
