The ISSA senior tournaments are held for the senior division which includes senior teams with a roster of players from 40+ up to 80+ and include competitive brackets for each five year increment. Additionally, within each age division there can be up to four skill level divisions. Thus an ISSA Senior Tournament is a group of small championship brackets managed to provide the maximum number of teams a very competitive experience. In most cases an ISSA senior tournament is held on a single weekend and is played over three days….Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Today many of our events have grown to where we play the older teams mid-week during the day.) If the “host city” provides interesting attractions in their area many players will come in early or stay longer to visit the destination. The participating players and their “fans” are the segment of our population with the highest disposable income and therefore the sport becomes an excellent sports tourism opportunity.
