The sports and travel industries certainly have their share of great career stories. From the big-city convention bureau executive who got her start as a travel agent, to the fellow who started as a hotel lifeguard and went on to become the head of the U.S. Travel Association, to the young man who started as an administrative intern and rose to the position of commissioner of the National Football League, all of these stories speak to the heights that even someone who starts at the lowest rungs of the hospitality or sports industries can attain.
