The Southwest has become a year-round sports hotbed. Its vast and rugged landscapes beckon a sporting scene, and its cities in particular are full of ardent fans who frequent everything from amateur competitions to professional matchups. Especially enticing are the winter months, when mild temperatures make playing outdoors a true pleasure and athletes are tempted to extend their stay and explore the many attractions.
