Airbnb and FIFA Announce Three-Event Partnership
Organizations will collaborate for fan activations, including VIP experiences with former US Soccer players
Posted On: June 12, 2025 By :Airbnb and FIFA have announced a partnership spanning three tournaments with Airbnb serving as an official partner for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and an official supporter for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
According to a Deloitte study commissioned by Airbnb, over 380,000 guests are expected to travel for next year’s World Cup. Airbnb will also implement the Airbnb Host City Impact Program, a separate $5 million investment for the 2026 FIFA World Cup that will involve collaborating with host cities to enhance the overall event experience for residents and visitors.
“We’re delighted to welcome Airbnb to FIFA and we’re thrilled that it is taking on such a key role in the three groundbreaking tournaments coming up,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “Having a travel leader such as Airbnb by our side is special. Together, we’ll continue to see football unite the world.”
In addition to choosing from a variety of places to stay, guests can explore Airbnb Experiences that range from cultural activities to opportunities to engage with football legends and experts through Airbnb Originals.
Fans can also choose VIP experiences with former U.S. Soccer players, including a private training session with former goalkeeper Tim Howard, watching a FIFA Club World Cup game in the stands alongside Cobi Jones or going behind the scenes with a pre-match analysis session hosted by an expert from FIFA’s Technical Study Group.
“The World Cup brings the world together and so do we,” said Airbnb Chief Executive Officer Brian Chesky. “Airbnb is proud to collaborate with FIFA to offer fans once-in-a-lifetime experiences during the tournaments, while welcoming hundreds of thousands of guests during the FIFA World Cup 26 and producing a meaningful economic impact for local communities.”
