Blackhawks, Penguins Plan Game at Soldier Field
Posted On: May 3, 2013 By :The Chicago Blackhawks are scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Penguins in a regular-season outdoor game at Soldier Field in Chicago. The game has been planned for March 1, 2014. Other outdoor games are expected to be announced soon.
The Blackhawks hosted the Detroit Red Wings at Wrigley Field on January 1, 2009, as part of the Winter Classic series. Around 40,800 fans were at the home of the Chicago Cubs for that game, according to an NHL press release.
