DGPT Venues to Host 2026 & 2027 Disc Golf Pro World Championships
Michigan and Oregon to host events in future
Posted On: June 9, 2025 By :The Professional Disc Golf Association will have its World Championships head to Milford, Michigan, in 2026 and in Portland, Oregon, in 2027.
The 2026 event will be held at the Discraft Great Lakes Open across two Kensington Metropark courses: the Black Locust South Course, currently being upgraded to championship standards with over 10,000 feet of holes and the renowned Toboggan Course, known for its length and elevation changes.
The upgrades to Black Locust South include 13 lengthened holes and five new additions near Martindale Beach, offering a mix of wooded fairways, open park-style shots and technical challenges. Toboggan’s nearly 11,000-foot layout will test players’ precision and endurance.
In 2027, the Worlds will head to Portland’s Riverbend Gold at Milo McIver State Park, known for its wooded, rolling terrain and Glendoveer East, a technical course with advanced out-of-bounds and green complexes. The courses are featured in the newly named Northwest Disc Golf Championship.
Portland previously hosted Pro Worlds in 2014 and the 2027 bid award was through a partnership between the Disc Golf Pro Tour, Stumptown Disc Golf Club, Glendoveer Golf & Tennis, Oregon State Parks, Travel Portland and Sport Oregon.
