Drop 2 for Olympic Ticket Sale Set for Mid-August
More than 4 million tickets were sold in the initial offering of tickets back in April
Posted On: June 10, 2026 By :Drop 2, the second public Olympic ticket sale, will run August 10—20, LA28 announced Wednesday. Tickets across all Olympic sports will be offered at a range of price points, subject to availability. Registration for the ticket draw, which is required for a chance to secure a time slot to purchase tickets in Drop 2, is open through July 22 at Tickets.LA28.org.
In April the first ticket launch resulted in half a million $28 tickets going to residents of Los Angeles and Oklahoma City, where the Games will be contested. Overall, more than 4 million tickets were sold to fans across 85 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
“These Games belong to Los Angeles and to the world, and we look forward to welcoming fans everywhere to be part of all the incredible moments to come in 2028,” said Reynold Hoover, LA28 Chief Executive Officer. “The response from millions of fans makes one thing clear: the world is ready, and so are we.”
Fans who are selected for time slots to purchase tickets will be notified by email with details on the date, time and duration of their slot. That notification should come on August 6—7 to the email used to register.
Fans can buy up to 12 total tickets for Olympic events and up to 12 additional soccer tickets. Next year, LA28 will launch its own ticket resale network.
Paralympic Games tickets go on sale next year.
There will be additional ticket-buying opportunities closer to the Games after Drop 2.
In celebration of Visa’s 40-year partnership with the Olympic Games, LA28 will have a ticket draw specifically for Visa cardholders, giving them a chance to receive a time slot during a presale window from July 29—31. Fans looking for premium hospitality packages can purchase them through On Location, LA28’s official hospitality provider.
Further information about tickets and upcoming purchasing opportunities can be found on the LA28 Ticketing page.
The LA28 Olympic Summer Games will take place from July 14, 2028, through July 30, 2028. More than 15,000 athletes from around the world will take part, and Los Angeles will become the third city to host three Olympic Games, after 1932 and 1984. Oklahoma City will host softball and canoe slalom events. Soccer matches will be held in seven venues across the country.
