When it comes to sports events, going global is a big undertaking but one that can offer many rewards. Events that have already made the leap have benefited from new exposure, audiences and the chance to test teams or players against a wider field of international competition. Most global host cities are ready and waiting for such opportunities with first-class hospitality options and venues, multi-lingual staff members and attractions that show off their destination’s best side. With so much available, organizers stepping outside of familiar borders for the first time will wonder why they didn’t do so earlier.
