Destinations in this region appeal to event organizers because of their central location, popular attractions and flexible venues that can host events big and small.

When a sports event draws people from all over the country, it helps to meet participants halfway. The Great Plains serve as an ideal middle ground for several reasons, not least of which is convenience when it comes to travel. But teams and athletes will also discover one-of-a-kind attractions, significant monuments and recreational diversions that will turn a tournament into time well spent.
