First Pickleball Lounge Opens in Starkville, Mississippi
The new venue features 12 indoor pickleball courts, a golf simulator and gathering spaces

Designed as a place where recreation and connection go hand in hand, PKL Row features 12 indoor courts, a golf simulator, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, light food and beverages, and flexible event space. As the first pickleball lounge in the city, it will create a year-round destination for people to play, relax, and spend time together.
The idea for PKL Row began in 2024, when a group of local owners recognized the rapid growth of pickleball and way to address a broader need in Starkville. They envisioned a place where people of all ages could stay active, gather with friends, and enjoy recreation year-round without being limited by Mississippi’s summer heat or winter weather.
As planning progressed, that vision grew beyond an indoor pickleball venue into a space where recreation, entertainment and a community could come together.
The venue caters to a range of players, including people looking for a competitive match, a place to celebrate with friends, an after-work hangout or a new hobby.
“When we started talking about PKL Row, we weren’t just thinking about pickleball,” said Brian Lesley, co-owner of PKL Row. “We were thinking about Starkville. We wanted to create a place where people naturally gather, where families, students, coworkers, and neighbors could spend time together and build relationships.
“If people leave here having made a new friend or with plans to come back next week, we’ll know we’ve accomplished what we set out to do.”

Following its opening weekend, PKL Row will set up leagues, tournaments, clinics, camps, trivia nights, watch parties and events for businesses, churches, schools, families and community organizations in the months ahead.
