Neither snow nor sleet nor freezing rain in upstate South Carolina could stop the 2015 Geico Bassmaster Classic presented by GoPro from being a success. The event, considered the “Super Bowl of Bass Fishing,” was held on Lake Hartwell in Anderson and at venues in nearby Greenville in February. “We had an unbelievable event,” said Michael Mulone, director of events and tourism partnerships for B.A.S.S. Inc., which organized the event. “It started out pretty cold, then by Friday everyone had pretty much forgotten about it and the rest of the event was so exciting. It was the coldest Classic ever. From Sunday through Friday, we really had a lot of cold weather—cold and icy. But there weren’t any complaints. It didn’t affect competition at all.”
