Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance Promotes Collins and Philbeck
Tori Collins named director and Jason Philbeck named associate director
Posted On: July 2, 2019 By :The Greater Raleigh (North Carolina) Sports Alliance has promoted Tori Collins to director and Jason Philbeck to associate director as both take on new responsibilities in the organization as part of a broader strategic realignment at the GRSA.
Collins will oversee administration of the GRSA including strategic sales initiatives. She is a past chairman of the North Carolina Sports Association, a former board member of the Greater Raleigh chapter of Women in Sports Events and has been active in the National Association of Sports Commissions. She has been with the GRSA for 20 years, having previously worked at the Nokia Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
Philbeck will still focus on sales efforts for the GRSA, but in his new role will also oversee event hosting and servicing for all GRSA events and serve as the GRSA’s lead for marketing, advertising, social media and public relations initiatives. Philbeck has been with the GRSA for 13 years and currently serves as chairman of the North Carolina Sports Association.
Scott Dupree will continue to lead the organization as executive director, focusing on long-range planning and strategy for the GRSA. Dupree has been with the GRSA since its founding in 1998.
“I want to congratulate Tori and Jason on their promotions. Both are well-earned and well-deserved,” said Dupree. “With the GRSA celebrating its twenty-year anniversary and given the growth in the sports market here in Raleigh, now is the perfect time for us to realign our team to ensure we’re best positioned to continue to serve our existing clients as well as attract new events into the market.”
The GRSA was named Sports Tourism Organization of the Year in 2015 by the National Association of Sports Commissions.
