Honeypot 7 Brings Esports Event to Quad Cities
Posted On: September 17, 2025 By :The Honeypot 7 esports event will be at Bettendorf, Iowa, from September 18–21 at TBK Bank Sports Complex.
As the flagship event of the independent Honeypot series, Honeypot 7 this year will have nearly 300 participants from 15 different colleges across the Midwest confirmed to compete.
Honeypot is an independently run esports tournament series dedicated to showcasing fighting games, student communities, and inclusive gaming culture in the Midwest. Last year, more than 500 players and spectators attended, making Honeypot the largest fighting game tournament in Iowa.
Among the things as part of this year’s event will be Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Guilty Gear Strive, plus college brackets matching up schools against each other. There will also be a community artist alley and vendor space, exhibition matches and the return of the fan-favorite Honeypot Bear mascot along with a spotlight on diversity and representation in gaming spaces
