IndyCar Adds Music City GP in Nashville to 2021 Schedule
Road course will go throughout downtown Nashville and Nissan Stadium
Posted On: September 17, 2020 By :The IndyCar Series will add a little bit of country to the sounds of its engines rolling through town starting in 2021 with the Music City Grand Prix in Nashville, Tennessee. The race will feature a street course through downtown and circling Nissan Stadium, home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans and MLS’s Nashville SC.
Nissan Stadium will be the race paddock with a 2.17-mile temporary track laid out across the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge into downtown Nashville and back, making the Music City Grand Prix one of the only events in motorsports to cross a major body of water. The GP will be the first street course added to the IndyCar schedule since 2013 and will include 11 turns in all.

Part of the event’s development was through a series of local partnerships including the Tennessee Titans, the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corporation, Metro Government of Nashville & Davidson County, the state of Tennessee, the Nashville Sports Council and the Middle Tennessee State University School of Concrete and Construction Management.
