Global financial technology platform Intuit has announced that it has retained its sponsorship of the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles as a Founding Partner in the financial management software category.

It becomes one of the first companies to retain the naming rights for an Olympic Games venue, with Intuit Dome hosting five-on-five men and women’s basketball at LA28 as part of a multi-year, domestic partnership with Team USA and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

It also marks the first time in history that Olympic Games venues will have the opportunity to retain their commercial venue names.

Intuit already has an existing naming rights partnership for Intuit Dome, which is located in Inglewood, California, while the firm has also partnered with the LA Clippers for the past 23 years.

“Intuit is incredibly proud to be a Founding Partner of the LA28 Games. Our commitment to powering prosperity aligns perfectly with the spirit of the Movement: celebrating determination, optimism, and the belief in what’s possible,” said Thomas Ranese, chief marketing officer of Intuit. “Just as athletes strive for gold, we empower consumers and businesses to outdo their financial goals with confidence. This partnership also allows us to further champion the vibrant business community in Los Angeles and help them thrive.”

Driving further prosperity in Los Angeles

Through its partnership with LA28 and Team USA, Intuit will introduce education programs to drive further prosperity for local businesses and create a long-lasting legacy for Los Angeles as a host city.

This includes the Intuit & LA28 Small Business Supplier Program, which is designed to provide access to resources, mentorship and opportunities for local businesses to become suppliers for the LA28 Games.

As a result of the partnership between Intuit and Team USA, select athletes will also receive financial support in the form of free tax preparation via TurboTax.

And finally, Intuit will expand its national financial education program for students in the Los Angeles community to help them build real-world skills.

“As we prepare to welcome the world to Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we’re proud to partner with Intuit — a company with deep roots in this city and a long-standing commitment to Angelenos,” said Casey Wasserman, LA28 chairperson and president. “Intuit’s investment in small business growth reflects the values we share: innovation, accessibility, and community.

“Together we’re working to create opportunities that will leave a meaningful legacy for Los Angeles well beyond the Games.”

More details about the partnership will be unveiled in 2026.

Welcoming more than 15,000 athletes and para-athletes for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Los Angeles will become the third city ever to host three Olympic Games (after editions in 1932 and 1984), as well as hosting its first Paralympic Games.

With about 100 million customers worldwide, Intuit’s products include TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks and Mailchimp.
