Kimberly Simone Joins Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau Executive Committee
Simone is the vice president of sales and marketing at Mohegan Sun
Posted On: May 20, 2025 By :The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau has added Kimberly Simone, vice president of sales and marketing at Mohegan Sun, to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
Simone joined Mohegan Sun in 2023 as its director of sales and recently was named the VP of sales and marketing, overseeing strategic initiatives for the Earth Expo & Convention Center, Sky Convention Center and other venues across Mohegan Sun and the nearby Mohegan Sun Golf Club.
“Kimberly is no stranger to the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau staff and we have worked with her in her prior hospitality and sales positions within the state’s MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sectors,” said Bob Murdock, president of the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau. “She understands the value of holding events of all sizes and types across Connecticut, and she understands exactly what planners look for to ensure that their events are successful.”

Before joining Mohegan Sun, Simone was director of sales at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Before that, she worked at Foxwoods Casino Resort for many years, most recently as its director of sales.
