Meet in Marshalltown Forms ‘No-Brainer’ Esports Jersey Partnership
The deal with powerhouse Marshalltown Community College will run for multiple years
Posted On: February 10, 2026 By :A tourism organization and a collegiate esports team have struck a rare partnership for a multi-year jersey sponsorship.
Terms of the deal between Meet in Marshalltown and the Marshalltown (Iowa) Community College Esports program were not disclosed.
The “Meet in Marshalltown” logo will appear in MCC’s gold color, on the left chest of team jerseys. At recruit signings, there will be a special “MeetinMtown” gamertag on the back of the jersey.
“This partnership was a no-brainer for us,” said Dylan Does, Tourism Director for Meet in Marshalltown. “The MCC Esports program has made Marshalltown synonymous with competitive excellence, winning more than 20 national championships. Just as importantly, the program has given back by elevating youth gaming through statewide events and year-round competitions. We’re honored to partner with MCC Esports to continue celebrating and promoting Marshalltown through esports.”
“The esports culture in Marshalltown would not have been realized without our community’s support,” said Dr. Andrew Goforth, MCC Director of Esports. “Meet in Marshalltown has been integral in helping realize our vision of becoming ‘the esports school’ of Iowa. This reach extends beyond our college and has shaped pivotal moments in many young gamers’ lives. Nate and I are thrilled to take part in this signing and all it symbolizes.”
Marshalltown has become a hotbed of esports activity, having hosted the Iowa High School Esports Association State Showdown three times in the past two and a half years.
Meet in Marshalltown is the tourism brand of the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce.
