The Dutch Men’s National Soccer Team has chosen the KC Current Training Facility in Kansas City, Missouri as its team base camp during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The KNVB confirmed that the daily training sessions would take place at the training complex of the professional American women’s soccer club Kansas City Current. It added that the team’s accommodation during the tournament would be announced at a later date.

With two fields and an indoor gym, the entire KC Current Training Facility will be exclusively available to Ronald Koeman’s men during their stay.

The Dutch National Team will play its final group-stage match in Kansas City, making it the ideal location as a team base camp.
“When choosing our basecamp, we first looked at the comparatively most favorable climate in the region where we play,” said Coach Ronald Koeman. “In addition, we paid attention to other sporting conditions that are important to be able to train and stay well: the quality of the fields and facilities, the location and the travel distances.

“I have also visited the location myself and for the region in which we play during the group stage, Kansas City is the best choice. The location is also favorable. All this contributes to the fact that we can fully focus on football.”

“For every final tournament, we strive to facilitate the team in every possible way, including with the base camp,” said Director of Professional Football Marianne van Leeuwen. “This requires a careful process, in which we have assessed several locations on sporting, logistical and organisational criteria.

“The choice of base camp in Kansas City fits in with that aim: a professionally designed environment that allows the team to work as optimally as possible towards the matches. It’s also nice that we play our last group match in Kansas City and can close the group stage there together with our Oranje fans.”

“For Kansas City Current, it is a huge privilege to welcome a football country with a rich history like the Netherlands,” said Kansas City Current Co-Owners Angie and Chris Long. “This opportunity is a confirmation that we can offer support to top players with our infrastructure in place.”

The Netherlands joins Argentina and England in confirming team base camps in Kansas City, with Algeria reportedly set to join them.

They will begin their Group F campaign against Japan on June 14 in Dallas, before meeting the winner of European Play Off Path B (either Ukraine, Poland, Sweden or Albania) in Houston on June 20 and then Tunisia in Kansas City on June 25.
