The 190-acre campus will be the largest multiuse sports complex west of the Rocky Mountains, with 20 multi-purpose fields, 14 youth diamond fields, eight full-size diamonds, four football/rugby fields and two championship diamond fields.
With more than two decades of leadership experience in sports venue management, Hirz has overseen large-scale sports and entertainment venues, developed partnerships with cities and organizations, and built teams focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences on and off the field. His focus includes building an exceptional team, elevating the guest experience and establishing the complex as a premier home for tournaments, leagues and community programming.
The Sports Facilities Companies was chosen to operate Ontario Sports Empire in October 2025. The partnership will expand SFC’s network, which includes 90 venues across the country, and SFC will collaborate with Legends Global on food, beverage and sponsorship operations.
“As we build Ontario Sports Empire into a premier destination for athletes, families, and fans, Christopher’s leadership and community-first mindset are exactly what this project needs,” said John Sparks, senior vice president of venue management for Sports Facilities Companies. “His experience in growing teams, elevating operations, and creating exceptional experiences will help us deliver on the vision for this world-class venue.”
“I’m honored to step into this role and help bring the Ontario Sports Empire’s vision to life,” said Hirz. “Not only are we excited to host great events —it’s equally important to create an inclusive, best-in-class environment for athletes, families, and the community. We’re building something special for Southern California, and I can’t wait to get started.”
