Playeasy Launches New Business Divisions
As a result, Kerri Shields is promoted to CEO of Playeasy Network
Posted On: October 28, 2025 By :Playeasy has announced the creation of two dedicated business lines — Playeasy Network and Playeasy Experiences — both powered by the company’s shared technology foundation, the Playeasy Platform.
Playeasy is launching the new products to continue its efforts at connecting destinations, event organizers, venues and visitors through a connected platform.
“This evolution reflects the two distinct missions that drive Playeasy forward,” said Sean Flaherty, chairman and CEO of Playeasy. “The first is to make the sports tourism industry more connected and accessible by creating a seamless ecosystem where destinations, venues, and event organizers can more easily find one another and bring more events to life. The second is to help destinations protect and elevate their local content, voice, and culture — empowering them to engage directly with visitors in an era of rapid technological change.”
The Playeasy Network is designed for destinations to connect with event organizers while the new Playeasy Experiences — where destinations can engage visitors through immersive digital experiences — will span events, in-market activations and leisure travel.
Kerri Shields Promoted to CEO of Playeasy Network
As part of the launch, the company has promoted Kerri Shields to CEO of the Playeasy Network. Shields is a co-founder of the company and will lead the Playeasy Network with Ryan Quigley, co-founder and head of event organizer solutions, with a focus on expanding into new event types, reaching more organizers and growing the platform internationally.

“I couldn’t be more humbled and honored to step into this new role and continue working alongside our incredible team to grow a network I care so deeply about,” said Shields. “When we started this company, our goal was simple — to make it easier for people in sports and events to find each other and bring more events to life. This next chapter is about deepening that connection and continuing to build something that truly makes a difference for the people and communities behind every event.”
Flaherty will remain chairman and CEO of Playeasy and will focus on leading the Playeasy Experiences business line, helping destinations engage visitors, activate their communities, and drive measurable results through technology. Co-Founder and CTO Jon Gorin, will continue to lead the Playeasy Platform — the shared technology foundation that will power the new divisions.
“This new structure gives each part of our business the focus and leadership it needs to grow,” added Flaherty. “We’re still one unified company — Playeasy — but now better positioned to scale our impact across both sports tourism and destination marketing.”
Playeasy will host a live webinar on October 29 for users to share more information about the company’s evolution. To learn more and register for the webinar, click here.
