South Carolina Forms Sports Alliance
Posted On: August 29, 2013 By :South Carolina has formed the South Carolina Sports Alliance to promote and grow the state’s sports industry.
“Sports are big in South Carolina, and [the industry has] an opportunity to become even greater with such wise collaboration within our industry,” said Duane Parrish, director of the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism. “We’re happy to do our part to promote South Carolina as a great place to host sporting events.”
The organization’s 25 members include convention and visitor bureaus; parks and recreation departments; sports venues; sports commissions; and other related organizations.
