Sports Illustrated Resort Plans Unveiled
Targeted opening for next year
Posted On: May 2, 2022 By :The first Sports Illustrated Hotel and Resort will be scheduled to unveil in 2023 in the Dominican Republic with another resort planned for Orlando, Florida, in the future.
Storyland Studios will design and master plan the project. The locations will feature visitor attractions, as well as dining, lifestyle and wellness experiences. The resort will celebrate personalities and iconic moments in sports history.
“Sports Illustrated is known worldwide for its enduring influence in the sports world,” Storyland Studios Chief Creative Officer Mel McGowan said. “Transforming the brand from page to themed environment, then inviting sports enthusiasts, families, and adults of all ages to immerse themselves in that space, is going to be an incredibly exciting journey.”
