The Swedish Men’s National Soccer Team has secured a team base camp training site in North Texas after confirming its qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The team won the UEFA Play-Off Path B berth at the tournament, having first defeated Ukraine 3-1 in Valencia, Spain, and then Poland 3-2 in the final on home soil in Solna.

Last month, it was announced that the winner of that Play-Off Path would train at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas, after it was revealed as an official team base camp training site by FIFA and the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee.

Home to Major League Soccer franchise FC Dallas, FC Dallas Stadium (also known as Toyota Stadium) is a 145-acre soccer-specific complex that features 17 tournament-grade fields. The site is currently undergoing a $200 million modernization renovation ahead of the 2028 MLS season, as part of a collaboration between Hunt Sports Management and the City of Frisco.

The site is also home to the National Soccer Hall of Fame, and Sweden will make use of the club’s fields, facilities and meeting spaces in preparation for World Cup matches.

However, it is not yet known where Sweden’s team will stay in terms of accommodation between training sessions and traveling to matches.

“Being selected as Team Base Camp Training Sites reinforces what we’ve believed for a long time – that this region is the epicenter of FIFA World Cup 2026,” said Dan Hunt, president of FC Dallas and co-chair of the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee.

Englishman Graham Potter‘s men will slot into Group F at this year’s tournament, beginning with a game against Tunisia in Monterrey on June 14. They will then head to Houston to take on the Netherlands on June 20 before rounding out their group stage campaign against Japan in Dallas on June 25.
