There’s a definite sense of freedom, possibility and excitement that comes into play when events are held in destinations in the Pacific states. Sites are as attractive as they are impressive, be it a running course that winds through Hawaii’s lava fields; a renovated university stadium in Seattle with expansive views out to the Cascades; or the Northwest’s largest convention center, a LEED-certified building set in downtown Portland and filled with local artwork. For sports-event organizers, the region is ideal in many senses; these states boast some of the most active communities in the nation, where sports and recreation are an inherent part of the lifestyle.
