TEAMS Conference Extends Partnership With Compete Sports Network
The multiyear deal provides hosting benefits, meetings services, networking opportunities and recognition for Compete's membership
Posted On: October 13, 2025 By :Northstar Meetings Group and Compete Sports Network have extended their multiyear agreement for Northstar to host members of Compete at the TEAMS Conference & Expo, both to conduct business specific to the group as well as for individual event organizers to meet with destinations, venues and suppliers interested in LGBTQIA+ and adaptive sports events as well as women’s, veterans, seniors and minority-led leagues.
Beginning with TEAMS ’25 in Columbus, Ohio, October 13–16, the extended agreement will provide meetings services and networking opportunities for members of Compete Sports Network and feature the organization’s annual “Person of the Year” award during the SportsTravel Awards Luncheon at TEAMS.
Northstar and Compete have partnered for programming at the TEAMS Conference & Expo since 2022.
With members nationwide, Compete’s mission is to connect, educate, empower and inspire mission-driven sports organizations, nonprofits, tourism partners, corporate allies, community leaders, and athletes to further Sports For All through their membership, media and event platforms.
Under the agreement, TEAMS will offer meetings and appointments with the organization’s qualified event organizers and discounted registration for the organization’s members who are not event organizers, as well as a platform to announce its “Person of the Year” award recognizing an influencer who has demonstrated commitment to advancing Sports For All.

The TEAMS Conference & Expo, organized by Northstar Meetings Group, is the world’s largest gathering of sports-event organizers and the destinations and venues interested in hosting their events. Since 2018, TEAMS has been the exclusive home of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s SportsLink program. The National Congress of State Games has also held its annual symposium in conjunction with TEAMS since 2016.
