U.S. Classic Returning to Illinois in 2027
The USA Gymnastics competition will be at NOW Arena, the same venue that hosted the event in 2023
Posted On: September 8, 2026 By :USA Gymnastics’ 2027 U.S. Classic will take place July 23-24 at NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, the 10th time the event has taken place in the Chicago area.
This will be the final women’s qualifying event for next year’s U.S. Gymnastics Championships at a yet-to-be-announced location.
NOW Arena hosted the U.S. Classic the last time it was held before an Olympic year, doing so in 2023. Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee and Katelyn Ohashi are among the headliners who will be chasing a berth on the 2028 Olympic team.
“With the LA28 Games on the horizon, the 2027 U.S. Classic provides an early look into who may be vying for a spot on the team for LA,” said USA Gymnastics Chief Programs Officer Stefanie Korepin. “We are excited to return to Chicagoland and welcome fans with a sneak peek at pre-Olympic action.”
The 2027 U.S. Classic will feature the Hopes Championships for elite-track gymnasts age 11-14 on Friday, July 23. and the junior and senior competition on Saturday, July 24.
