U.S. Youth Soccer Picks Seven Sites for National Showcases
Tournament events will be held in late 2020 and early 2021
Posted On: June 26, 2020 By :U.S. Youth Soccer will host two national showcase events at the home of the North Carolina Fusion club team in Greensboro, North Carolina, and has awarded six other destinations events for 2020 and 2021 as part of the inaugural season of the USYS National League Showcase Series.
The series will allow 14U–19U boys and girls teams from all National League Conferences to apply. A limited number of spots are available to other teams. The eight events are in a showcase format and teams with similar performance in the National League Conferences or other applicable competitions will be grouped. The series will present opportunities for scouts from professional, college and international levels, as well the U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, to evaluate players.

It offers a unique opportunity for teams across the country to play in front of scouts from all levels of the game,” said U.S. Youth Soccer CEO Skip Gilbert. “With the focus of the National League shifting to more localized competition within the Conferences, the Showcase Series will provide a national platform that allows teams to compete in diverse matchups against top opponents.”

October 23–25, 2020: 14U boys and girls showcase, Greensboro, North Carolina
December 4–7, 2020: 15U-16U girls playoffs; 15U, 16U, 18U, 19U girls showcase, Wilson, North Carolina
December 11–13, 2020: 15U–19U boys showcase, Las Vegas, Nevada
December 27–30, 2020: 14U girls, 14U–16U boys playoffs; 14U girls and 14U–16U boys showcase, Tampa, Florida
January 15–17, 2021: 17U–19U boys playoffs, 17U–19U showcase, Lakewood Ranch, Florida
February 19–21, 2021: 15U–17U girls showcase, Dallas
March 12–14, 2021: 15U–19U boys showcase, Greensboro, North Carolina
March 19–22, 2021: 17U–19U girls playoffs, 17U–19U showcase, Irvine, California
