United States Returns as Pentathlon World Cup Host Ahead of LA28
West Hollywood to host event in 2027 as well as 2028 federation congress
Posted On: August 29, 2025 By :The UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Cup will return to the United States in 2027 with an event in West Hollywood, California, as well as the 2028 Congress heading to West Hollywood as a series of future events was announced by the international federation.
“It’s so exciting that our sports will expand into new frontiers in 2027 and 2028 while also returning to the countries where we have enjoyed great times in the past,” said UIPM President Rob Stull. “We are laser-focused on enhancing the commercial viability of our sport, expanding our global movement and opening it up to new audiences.”
Along with the future ents in the U.S., the UIPM World Championship will be in Budapest in 2027 and Cairo in 2028. The UIPM 2026 Masters World Championships will be in Cape Town and that the Pentathlon World Cup season will start in Cairo, followed by rounds in Pazardzhik, Bulgaria, in May and Budapest. India, Indonesia and Kuwait will also host future events.
