USA Pickleball to Hold First Wheelchair National Championships in Colorado

CEO Mike Nealy called it 'a defining moment for our sport'

The inaugural USA Pickleball Wheelchair National Championships will take place June 19-21, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and be hosted by Peak Pickleball.

The announcement was made by USA Pickleball, the sport’s governing body, and the event will be dedicated exclusively to wheelchair athletes. It will feature competitions in singles, doubles and hybrid doubles and include athletes from first-time competitors to national-caliber players.

We’re grateful to partner with Peak Pickleball, whose commitment to expanding access for wheelchair athletes is helping drive meaningful progress across the sport.”

The event will award national titles, medals, and championship rings, establishing a new pinnacle of achievement for wheelchair pickleball athletes.

Last December, USA Pickleball announced that its national championship event will return to Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego and take place from October 31-November 8 of this year. The 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships welcomed more than 10,000 spectators and 2,500+ players, including 12 in a dedicated wheelchair division.
