USA Track & Field Bringing Tour Event to Texas A&M
The Lone Star Grand Prix will take place June 6 at E.B. Cushing Stadium
Posted On: February 6, 2026 By :USA Track and Field announced a partnership with Texas A&M University and College Station, Texas, to bring its Grand Prix to that city on June 6.
E.B. Cushing Stadium, home to the Aggies’ track and field program, will host the event, which will be broadcast on NBC from 4-6 pm ET. Among the competitions will be 100m and 800m races as well as high jump, pole vault and javelin. More than $200,000 in prize money will be awarded.
“Cushing Stadium is one of the finest track and field facilities in the United States,” said Max Siegel, CEO of USATF. “The Lone Star Grand Prix will offer U.S. athletes the opportunity to compete domestically against top talent in a world-class setting. It also provides fans with the opportunity to witness America’s best track and field athletes up close.”
The Lone Star Grand Prix is part of the inaugural USATF Tour. The following week the Los Angeles Grand Prix will take place at USC’s Allyson Felix Track, named for the seven-time Olympic gold medalist sprinter and USC alum.
“This is a big moment for College Station,” said City of College Station Mayor John Nichols. “We’re honored that USA Track & Field selected our city as one of just three host locations for this event. Being chosen highlights the excellence of Texas A&M’s track and field program, and the City is proud to play a role in supporting an event that brings elite athletes, visitors, and national visibility to our community.”
Tickets are not yet available.
Last fall USA Track & Field reported $44.5 million in audited revenue for 2024, a record for the organization.
