Visit Cumberland Valley Joins PA Sports as 15th Member

It is the first member to be added to the agency since 2024

Visit Cumberland Valley has become the 15th member of PA Sports, the leading agency for sports tourism in the state of Pennsylvania.

Cumberland Valley is located in south-central Pennsylvania, where it is home to the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail, as well as six colleges and universities.

“We’re thrilled to join PA Sports, as the opening of the Carlisle YMCA Aquatic Center in late 2025, increased interest from our schools and parks, and continued growth in sports tourism made this the right time to become a member,” said Patrick Bourque, destination sales manager for Visit Cumberland Valley. “Knowing how strong PA Sports is as a group and the close manner in which the members work together, we’re ready to hit the ground running to show Cumberland Valley belongs in such a highly respected group.”

The last member to be added to PA Sports was Visit Delco in 2024. The other members of PA Sports are:

PA Sports was formed in 2005 to assist sports commissions and destination marketing organizations in Pennsylvania and was originally called Ready, Set Go! PA Sports, with Happy Valley, Hershey, Reading, Valley Forge and York as the initial members. It celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and hosts hundreds of events that bring in nearly half a billion annually in estimated economic impact for the state.
