Visit Stockton Unveils Sports Tourism Development Team
Scharmann, Ramirez to work for California destination
Posted On: January 7, 2022 By :Visit Stockton has promoted Rebecca Scharmann to director of sports and tourism development and named Nicholas Ramirez as the event services manager for sports at the California destination.
Scharmann had more than 15 years of collegiate athletics experience before joining the Visit Stockton team in January 2020 as events and community engagement manager leading projects including Restaurant Week, Beer Week, Brew Fest, the Healthy Pledge and more. Before joining the CVB, Scharmann was the director of athletic media relations at the University of the Pacific.
Ramirez is a University of the Pacific grad, where he received a bachelor’s in health and exercise science, and is also a United States Marine Corps veteran.
