The FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series has announced a 20-event season for 2024, which will tip-off in Springfield, Massachusetts — home of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame — on April 23–24, marking the first Women’s Series in the United States since the launch of the competition in 2019.

There is more than $1.4 million up for grabs in 2024, which will feature five events in France, three in Canada, three in China and three in Azerbaijan. The tour will also make one stop in Mongolia, Switzerland, Kosovo and Hungary before the final in September that will name a host at a later date.

The Canadian stops are Quebec, June 29–30; Edmonton, July 4–5 and Saskatoon from August 17–18. Canada will enter this season as back-to-back defending champions after retaining the crown at last year’s final. F

“The growth of the Women’s Series demonstrates FIBA’s commitment to one of its key strategic priorities, women in basketball, and the importance of ensuring our major women’s competitions continue to grow and gain maximum impact,” said Alex Sanchez, FIBA 3×3 managing director.

Created in 2019, the FIBA 3×3 Women’s Series features the best 3×3 women’s professional circuit in the world with six players competing on a basketball half-court. It made its Olympic debut in 2021 at the Tokyo Games. It was played for the first time in international competition at the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Canada will enter this season as back-to-back defending champions after retaining the crown at last year’s final.

The men’s tour schedule was already released with 15 events around the globe including Edmonton, its lone North American stop, as the final pre-Olympic event.
