USA Volleyball Adds Golden Gate Classic to 2027 Calendar

USA Volleyball is expanding its Girls Junior National Qualifying calendar for next year with an event in the Bay Area.

The first USAV Golden Gate Classic Girls Junior National Qualifier will take place from February 19—21, 2027, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. The event will have competitions in the 15s, 16s and 17s age groups in the Open, USA, Liberty, and American divisions as teams bid for the chance to qualify for 2027 USA Volleyball Girls 14-17s Junior National Championship presented by Credit Union 1, which will be held Sunday, June 27 through Monday, July 5, 2027, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 2026 Girls Junior National Championship had more than 1,400 participating teams.

The Golden Gate Classic will be held in partnership with the San Francisco Travel Association.

Registration opens on September 16 at 11 a.m. ET. The Golden Gate Classic is currently the fourth event on the Girls Junior Qualifiers calendar for 2027, which kicks off with the Girls West Coast Junior National Qualifiers on consecutive weekends in January.
