Esports organization Blast has announced a content agreement with in-flight entertainment company Encore to bring its flagship series Blast.tv: Paris Major and The Launders Show to airline passengers around the world.
It marks Blast’s inaugural in-flight entertainment distribution deal and is the first time esports content will be available onboard flights, with the agreement giving Encore the exclusive rights to distribute Blast.tv: Paris Major and The Launders Show across its international network of airline partners.
“Esports is now one of the most-watched forms of entertainment worldwide, particularly among Gen Z and millennial audiences,” said Edwin Cheung, vice president of sales at Encore. “With Blast: Paris Major and The Launders Show, we’re introducing a fresh, culturally relevant genre to in-flight entertainment, one that reflects how younger travelers are watching, following, and engaging with content today.”
