.@DelawareTourism has announced it will reopen the Sports Tourism Capital Investment Fund for applications on August 1, 2024, with a deadline of September 13. The fund provides financial support to sports facilities that hold events throughout the year.

The Pulaski County Board of Supervisors in Virginia have announced the creation of the Pulaski County Sports Tourism & Entertainment Authority. The new division will manage the county’s sports tourism and entertainment facilities and assets.

One of the most popular promotions in baseball lat

One of the most popular promotions in baseball lately has been ‘Bark in the Park’ as seen at Dodger Stadium and other spots around major and minor league baseball. The @saltlakebees held the first of five such nights on Wednesday at Smith’s Ballpark, the beautiful downtown stadium that – when you sit behind home plate – gives views out to the snow-capped Wasatch Mountains. On this night, instead, the view was from the left field berm area where dozens of good dogs and their owners sat in a roped-off area to eat, drink, relax and watch the game. And even with unfamiliar faces and sniffs, the night was filled with good boys and girls who seldom barked ... until a giant Bee came into their area! But after a little bit, even the team mascot was welcome. And yes, one of the unofficial mascots for SportsTravel took part in the night.

SportsTravel was on the scene Thursday for the opening round of The Myrtle Beach Classic, a new PGA Tour event sponsored by @mymyrtlebeach which is the first PGA Tour event in Myrtle Beach history and the first major professional golf tournament to the Grand Strand in the past 24 years.  
The tournament has a four-year agreement with the PGA Tour for the event to be at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club, a Robert Trent Jones-designed course which hosted the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship from 1994 to 1999, with winners that included Raymond Floyd, Jim Colbert, Jay Sigel, Gil Morgan, Hale Irwin and Gary McCord

The World Breaking Classic USA Qualifier was staged at Tulsa’s historic Cain’s Ballroom, organized by @p7company and supported by the @tulsasportscommission. Individuals and teams from around the world competed in 1v1 and 2v2 formats, with the winner of the latter earning a spot in the @worldbreakingclassic finals this summer in Europe. Fans of all ages attended to watch some of the best bboys do their thing. Breaking will make its Olympics debut in Paris this summer.
