Czechia Confirms Mansfield, Texas, Team Base Camp for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Czechia defeated Denmark in the UEFA Play-Off Path D final to reach the 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Czech Men’s National Soccer Team will use Mansfield Stadium in Mansfield, Texas, as its team base camp training site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

To secure their place at the tournament, Czechia defeated Republic of Ireland in a penalty shootout last week after a 2-2 draw, before beating Denmark in another penalty shootout in the UEFA Play-Off Path D final this week.

Alongside the FC Dallas Stadium (also known as Toyota Stadium) for Sweden in Frisco, Mansfield Stadium was officially announced as an official team base camp training site by FIFA and the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee last month.

Multi-use soccer venue Mansfield Stadium (also known as Texas Health Mansfield Stadium) will be the home of North Texas SC, the MLS NEXT Pro affiliate of FC Dallas, once it opens as expected in the summer. Operated by REV Entertainment and Hunt Sports, the development on Staybolt Street will also feature housing, retail and entertainment venues, as well as a hotel and conference center.

No information has yet been given on the accommodation where the Czech team will stay between training sessions and matches.

“We look forward to showing our guests the Southern hospitality Mansfield is known for,” said Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans said. “With Mansfield Stadium and the Staybolt District lining up perfectly with the biggest sporting event in the world, Mansfield will make the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

Czechia will play in Group A at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, opening up in Guadalajara on June 11 against South Korea. They will then head to Atlanta to take on South Africa on June 18 before facing co-host Mexico in Mexico City on June 24.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup, which has been expanded to 48 teams, will begin with Mexico vs. South Africa on June 11 in Mexico City, with the final being held on July 19 in New York New Jersey.
