
Kannapolis, North Carolina, will host the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team for two games in the summer at Atrium Health Ballpark.
The first game will be June 29 as the opener of the USA Baseball annual Stars vs. Stripes series. After contests in Cary and Fayetteville, North Carolina, the series goes back to Kannapolis on July 4 for a game between the Collegiate National Team Prospects and Appalachian League Select Team followed by postgame fireworks.
“We are absolutely thrilled for the opportunity to host USA Baseball for two games this summer,” said Matt Millward, general manager of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers. “It’s been exciting to host some of our nation’s top talent and being able to also showcase USA Baseball on July 4 this year will be an incredible experience for our community.”

This marks the seventh year of competition for USA Baseball in Kannapolis and the second season, the first since 2007, where the teams has played multiple games in Towel City. Team USA owns a 6-1 record in Kannapolis, including 2-0 at Atrium Health Ballpark in competitions against Chinese Taipei.
