LA28 Announces Verified Multi-Platform Ticket Resale Program as Ticket Drop Approaches
The first presale for LA28 tickets will begin on April 2 for Los Angeles and Oklahoma City locals
Posted On: March 31, 2026 By :LA28 has announced its verified multi-platform ticket resale program will open in 2027 with multiple points of access for LA28 ticket resale, as the first ticket drop of the Olympic Summer Games approaches.
Along with AXS and Eventim as the Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, other verified resale platforms will include Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets.
“With millions around the globe registered for the LA28 Ticket Draw and as excitement for LA28 continues to grow, we want fans to have the information they need to shop with confidence as we approach the first ticket drop,” said LA28 CEO Reynold Hoover. “While LA28’s resale platforms will not launch until 2027, having a variety of platforms was critical to providing fans multiple points of access to verified tickets, and we’re thrilled to add Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets to our resale program.”
When LA28’s verified resale program opens in 2027, the only platforms offering verified resale tickets for LA28 will be LA28’s Official Secondary Ticket Marketplace, AXS and Eventim, and its other verified resale platforms, including Ticketmaster and Sports Illustrated Tickets.
This means that primary tickets will only be available for purchase through LA28 via AXS and Eventim, but no LA28 tickets will be available for resale (listing or publishing) until 2027.
Next Steps for LA28 Tickets
Over the coming week, LA28 Olympic tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning April 9, with a presale for Los Angeles and Oklahoma City locals beginning April 2. Time slot notifications for the first presale will be shared via email from March 31, and then on April 7, email notifications with 48-hour time slots to purchase tickets within Drop 1 will be sent to randomly selected fans who entered the LA28 Ticket Draw.
If fans do not receive a time slot in Drop 1, they will be automatically registered for the draw in Drop 2.
In these purchase windows, tickets can be purchased by category, with specific seats assigned closer to Games time, and fans will have the opportunity to purchase up to 12 tickets for Olympic events.
However, only four tickets can be purchased per order for the Opening Ceremony at 2028 Stadium in the Inglewood Zone, California, and the Closing Ceremony at LA Memorial Coliseum in the Exposition Park Zone.
In the initial LA28 Ticket Draw, which was open from January 14 to March 18, 2026, more than five million fans from 194 countries had registered as of late February 2026. Organizers claimed that registrations had been increasing by an average of 100,000 each day, with over 1.5 million signing up within the first 24 hours alone.
In total, LA28 will bring together more than 15,000 athletes from around the world, with Los Angeles becoming the third city to host three Olympic Games, after 1932 and 1984.
