Matthew Landa has resigned as CEO of Active Network, and David Alberga has resigned as executive chairman and chairman of the board of directors. Jon Belmonte, former chief media officer and chief operating officer of the company, has been named interim chief executive officer.

Landa and Alberga have planned to remain members of the board; their terms expire at Active Network’s Annual Meetings of Stockholders in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Belmonte has been nominated by the board to serve as a director and is expected to stand for election at the company’s 2013 stockholder meeting.

“On behalf of the board of directors and everyone at ACTIVE Network, I thank Matt and Dave for their leadership and contributions to the company,” said Bruns Grayson, presiding director of the ACTIVE Network board.

ACTIVE Network said in a statement that the resignations of Landa and Alberga are not related to any disputes with the board or issues regarding the integrity of the company’s financial statements or accounting policies and practices.
