NCAA Names Women’s Final Four Hosts From 2021–2024

The NCAA has selected the next four host cities for the Women’s Final Four from 2021 through 2024. San Antonio (2021), Minneapolis (2022), Dallas (2023) and Cleveland (2024) were chosen by the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee as host sites after a 12-month process.
“The committee appreciates all of the cities that were involved in the bid process and are thrilled to announce the additions of great hosting communities in San Antonio, Minneapolis, Dallas and Cleveland to the Women’s Final Four family of future hosts,” said Rhonda Lundin Bennett, chair of the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee and senior associate athletics director at Nevada. “When we crown a national champion in those cities in the years to come, we know our student-athletes, teams and fans will have enjoyed an amazing championship experience.”
The Alamodome in San Antonio will welcome back the Women’s Final Four on April 2 and 4, 2021. San Antonio last hosted the event in 2002 and 2010, setting the all-time attendance record in 2002 with 29,619 in attendance for the national semifinals. In 2021, co-hosts for the event are the University of the Incarnate Word, the University of Texas at San Antonio and San Antonio Sports.
Minneapolis, which last hosted the Women’s Final Four in 1995, will return as host in 2022. The event will be held April 1 and 3, 2022, at Target Center. The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and Sports Minneapolis will serve as co-hosts of the 2022 event.
The 2023 Women’s Final Four will be played in Dallas, March 31 and April 2 when it returns to the American Airlines Center, a multipurpose arena that is home to the National Basketball Association’s Dallas Mavericks and the National Hockey League’s Dallas Stars. Dallas previously played host to the event in 2017. The Dallas Sports Commission and the Big 12 Conference have been selected to host the 2023 championship, making it the seventh time that the Women’s Final Four will be played in the state of Texas.
“Thank you to the NCAA and the Women’s Basketball Committee for the opportunity to host the 2023 Women’s Final Four,” said Monica Paul, executive director of the Dallas Sports Commission. “In 2017, the energy in the American Airlines Center and in the city of Dallas was unmatched and we were blown away by the experience and the community participation. We want Dallas to be synonymous with women’s basketball and we look forward to making 2023 even bigger and better.”
The 2024 event will be staged at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, which last hosted a Women’s Final Four in 2007. In 2024, the game will be played April 5 and 7. The Mid-American Conference and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission will serve as co-hosts.

Our organizations are committed to expanding Cleveland’s footprint by showcasing this national event to continue to inspire our community’s growth.”
The 2019 Women’s Final Four will be held at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. Smoothie King Center in New Orleans will host the event in 2020.
