Perfect Game All-American Classic Returns to Chase Field

Event will be held in Phoenix for second consecutive year

Perfect Game has announced the 22st edition of its Dick’s Sporting Goods All-American Classic will return to Chase Field in Phoenix on August 28 as part of a multi-day event including other events at Chase Field along with community events and media appearances.

Perfect Game, a youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, organizes the All-American Classic for the top 60 high school baseball players from across North America streamed live to an international viewing audience via PGTV, Perfect Game’s free streaming service.

Rosters for the All-American Classic will be finalized after a national showcase event also scheduled to be played at Chase Field between July 1-5 as part of the organization’s largest schedule of events in one year ever. In addition to the All-American Classic, Perfect Game will hold other events at Chase Field including the All-Star Game, batting challenge and annual awards banquet.

Some of MLB’s most popular current players have played in the All-American Classic including last year’s National and American League Rookies of the Year, Corbin Carroll and Gunnar Henderson. Of the players that have participated in the previous 21 All-American Classic games, 806 went on to become MLB Draft selections, including 11 eventual Rookies of the Year and five eventual Most Valuable Players.
