Aggregate Sports has named former U.S. Figure Skating executive Ramsey Baker to the position of senior vice president, joining an organization that works with sports properties, leagues, teams and federations by creating value for them, their partners and supporters.

Baker joins Aggregate Sports after departing U.S. Figure Skating at the end of December. His 18-year tenure with the national governing body included a decade as the organization’s chief marketing officer and the last two years as executive director. In his various roles with USFS, he oversaw the organization’s relationships with its corporate partners and played a role in media rights deals and the on-going relationship with NBC Universal and other media partners. He also served as general manager of Ice Network, LLC, a media rights holding company and wholly-owned subsidiary of U.S. Figure Skating.

Before joining U.S. Figure Skating, Baker spent six years in college athletics in a variety of external relations roles including marketing, sponsorships, fundraising and communications with Union College (New York), Jacksonville University and Georgia State University.

The announcement was made by Aggregate Sports founders Chris Pearlman and Rem de Rohan.

“During my career at U.S. Figure Skating, I had the opportunity to work closely with Chris and Rem and I developed a great respect for their expertise, work ethic and the value they provided the organization and its partners,” said Baker. “I am confident that my experience, relationships and unique understanding of the Olympic sports landscape, NGBs and other similar properties will be an asset to our current and future partners.”

Aggregate Sports has offices in New York, London and Colorado Springs. It has managed more than $1 billion of sponsorship and media deals with a variety partners including nine different U.S. Olympic National Governing Bodies. Baker will work out of the Colorado Springs office.

“Over the past three years we have established a strong foothold in supporting a wide range of Olympic NGBs and other like properties, so the opportunity to add a senior executive like Ramsey to our team was remarkable,” said Pearlman. “We look forward to leaning on Ramsey to help us grow our portfolio and lend his expertise and unique insight to all of our partners.”
