The Northstar Travel Group has announced the launch of TEAMS Asia Pacific, which will be staged April 21–22, 2027, in Singapore. TEAMS — Travel, Events and Management in Sports — is the world’s largest gathering of sports-event organizers and has been the leading sports-related travel conference in both the United States and Europe.
“The launch of TEAMS Asia Pacific is an exciting development and a natural extension of the TEAMS concept that has proven essential to the industry throughout North America and Europe,” said Jason Gewirtz, senior vice president/content, meetings and sports, Northstar Meetings Group. “Sports tourism continues to grow across Asia Pacific, and we’re excited to bring the business connections, education and networking opportunities that only TEAMS can provide.”
TEAMS Asia Pacific will be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Center in conjunction with several other Northstar events, including The Meetings Show Asia Pacific, the Business Travel Show Asia Pacific and GTM Luxury Asia Pacific.
“The continued expansion of our Asia Pacific portfolio reflects Northstar’s long-term commitment to investing in high-growth markets and the audiences driving the future of travel,” said Jason Young, CEO of the Northstar Travel Group. “By bringing TEAMS to Singapore alongside our existing portfolio of events, we are creating new opportunities for event organizers, destinations and industry partners to connect, do business and drive growth across the region.”
TEAMS unites sports-event organizers with representatives of destinations, venues and suppliers looking to host or support sporting events. The appointment-based program is designed to foster one-to-one relationships and provide thought leadership from industry leaders. TEAMS Asia Pacific will maintain an emphasis on the APAC market to put potential business opportunities in front of sports-event organizers from throughout the region, and others that are seeking to do business there.
TEAMS Asia Pacific will also be made possible through support from the Singapore Tourism Board.
“Singapore is proud to be the host destination for the inaugural TEAMS Asia Pacific,” said Ong Huey Hong, assistant chief executive, industry development group, Singapore Tourism Board. “Singapore’s sports tourism continues to gain momentum, with new-to-Singapore sporting events such as the Elite Pickleball International Championship (EPIC) 2026 and Singapore Tennis Open (WTA500). TEAMS Asia Pacific will connect sports event organizers, suppliers and industry partners from across Asia Pacific, and Northstar Meetings Group’s decision to bring this platform to our shores is a strong vote of confidence in Singapore’s ability to provide access to the vibrant opportunities in the region as the leading hub for business events. It also reflects the quality growth we are pursuing as we work towards tripling Singapore’s MICE tourism receipts by 2040.”
TEAMS was launched in the United States in 1998 and has since grown to become the largest marketplace uniting event organizers at all levels with destinations and venues looking to host their events. Since 2018, TEAMS in North America has shared a relationship with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee as the exclusive home to the USOPC’s SportsLink education program. TEAMS Europe launched in 2022 in London and saw its most recent event staged at the Belfry Resort in Birmingham, England.

TEAMS ’26 will be held in Birmingham, Alabama, October 26–29, 2026; TEAMS Europe ’27 will be staged in Manchester, England, March 23–25, 2027.
