The Northstar Meetings Group, organizer of the TEAMS Conference & Expo has opened its bidding process to identify potential host-city partners for future years of the conference. The leading conference and expo for the sports-event industry, TEAMS is seeking U.S.-based hosts for its events in 2032 and 2033, the next available open dates.
In 2026, TEAMS experienced growth and generated record-breaking numbers when it was held October 26–29, in Birmingham, Alabama. In its 28th year, TEAMS welcomed the largest number of new event organizers and attendees in its history, attracting more than 1,400 overall participants.
In addition to providing an appointment-based expo, networking and educational opportunities, TEAMS serves the exclusive home to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee’s SportsLink program and is the home of several other co-located events including the annual symposium of the National Congress of State Games. This year, USA Triathlon also launched and co-located a Race Directors Summit at the event.
“TEAMS was the original business development opportunity in the sports-events industry and we have continued to foster steady growth of the conference ever since by creating the largest tent possible for the industry,” Jason Gewirtz, senior vice president, content for the Northstar Meetings Group. “We are looking for cities that want to take advantage of the spotlight and opportunity that hosting TEAMS can bring to their communities and to find new and innovative ways to provide value to those hosts and the industry at large.”
TEAMS has secured host cities for the next several years: Milwaukee in 2027; Pittsburgh in 2028; Atlantic City in 2029; Knoxville in 2030; and Des Moines in 2031.

In addition, the conference has expanded internationally with the launch of TEAMS Europe in 2022. TEAMS Europe ’27 will be staged in Manchester, England, in March 2027. In addition, TEAMS Asia Pacific ’27 will make its debut in Singapore in April 2027.
Destinations interested in bidding have until January 15, 2027, to submit their bids. Interested cities are encouraged to use the time before that date to ask questions they may have about the bidding process.
