GameChanger Expands Basketball Offering to Support Youth Sports Clubs
The expanded experience will help youth basketball directors run and promote their clubs
Posted On: September 30, 2026 By :Youth sports mobile and web application GameChanger has announced an expanded basketball experience that will bring club management, game coverage and athlete storytelling together on one platform.
The features are designed to help youth basketball directors run and promote their clubs while giving families more ways to watch games and follow their athletes throughout the season.
Basketball is already the most-used sport on GameChanger after baseball and softball. However, the expansion marks another significant investment in the sport, informed by conversations with club directors, coaches and families, as well as circuits such as Nike EYBL, and AAU programs like Ballin on the Beach and NY vs. NY.
By helping participating clubs get their teams using the platform, GameChanger wants to address familiar challenges for youth sports operators: managing teams, communicating with families and producing game content across disconnected tools.
The expanded basketball experience will include:
- Club management and communication, allowing directors to manage schedules, rosters and RSVPs across teams while connecting coaches and families through team messaging, as well as sharing important updates through new organizations and team announcements
- Game coverage and automated capture, enabling clubs to live-stream games on GameChanger
- Athlete highlights and club promotion through automatic highlight clips that spotlight top moments without manual editing, while ready-to-share social highlight clips give programs additional ways to showcase their athletes
- Player Game Story will highlight individual player stories and bring together an athlete’s statistics and video highlights from each game
- Participating clubs will receive dedicated onboarding support and adoption incentives to bring their teams onto the platform, and GameChanger will remain free for coaches
“Club directors and coaches have told us how much work goes into running a program beyond what happens on the court,” said Brandon Rhodes, senior vice president and general manager, emerging sports, at GameChanger. “We’re focused on making that work easier while helping families stay connected to their athletes. By building a deeper experience for basketball, we’re making GameChanger even more useful for families across their kids’ sports and seasons, giving them one platform they can rely on year-round.”
GameChanger is a subsidiary of Dick’s Sporting Goods, having been acquired by the retail giant in 2016.
