Concessionaire, indoor operator and outdoor operator firms nationwide are being asked to submit their names for consideration as service providers for a new sports complex planned for the Kent County region of Delaware.

The Kent County Regional Sports Complex is designed to comprise 15 general-purpose fields and one stadium field on 100 acres in Frederica, Delaware, with seating for approximately 1,000 fans and the capability to host regional and national youth tournaments in multiple sports, including soccer, lacrosse, field hockey and football.

The $17 million project will require a variety of professional service partners including architectural and engineering services, construction management services, outdoor recreational facility management services, indoor recreational facility development and management services and on-site concession management services.

Construction on the complex is schedulted to start in 2015, with completion projected for 2015.

The project will include a stadium field designed for expansion and including parking; fields that are a mix of grass and synthetic turf; several restroom and concession buildings throughout the property; and a building to house an indoor multi-sport facility and associated spaces.
