Marriott Bonvoy and FIFA Partner for 2026 FIFA World Cup Activations
Marriott Bonvoy will become the tournament's Official Hotel Supporter in North America
Posted On: January 7, 2026 By :Marriott Bonvoy, the global loyalty program of Marriott International, is teaming up with FIFA for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Canada, Mexico and the United States as the tournament’s official hotel supporter in North America.
As the tournament returns to North America for the first time in 32 years, Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of hotels across the three host countries and curated fan activations will provide fans and tourists with inside access to the action with immersive hotel stays, new Marriott Bonvoy moments, exclusive packages and more, with additional details to be revealed ahead of the big kick-off on June 11 in Mexico City.
Encompassing more than 30 brands across 143 countries and territories, Marriott Bonvoy spans luxury, premium and select service offerings.
As part of the agreement to become an official supporter of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Marriott Bonvoy will also partner with Visa, an existing FIFA partner, to deliver curated customer experiences to fans and travelers throughout the tournament.

“We are delighted to welcome Marriott Bonvoy as our official hotel supporter for the FIFA World Cup 2026,” said FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström. “Marriott’s extensive collection of hotels across Canada, Mexico and the United States will provide the record numbers of domestic and international fans traveling to enjoy the game-changing tournament with great hotel options throughout June and July, adding to their experience as they get set to support their team in stadium or make new friends at a FIFA Fan Festival.”
Technical Innovations Driven by AI
FIFA has also announced a partnership with Lenovo to unveil a series of technical innovations driven by artificial intelligence, which are designed to enhance officiating technologies, match analysis capabilities and performance, and drive fan engagement ahead of the tournament. This includes a generative AI knowledge assistant called Football AI Pro and AI-enabled 3D player avatars to assist in semi-automated offside technology during matches.
Over 6 million fans are expected to attend matches in person, while a further 6 billion people are expected to watch and engage with the tournament from around the world, according to FIFA.
Ticket Update
Last week, the association reported that 150 million ticket requests from more than 200 countries had already been made. The current phase of ticketing, the Random Selection Draw, opened on December 11 and remains so until January 13.
For the first time in the competition’s history, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams and 104 matches, as well as three host countries and 16 host cities. The tournament begins on June 11 and concludes on July 19, 2026.
