San Francisco Travel and 49ers Launch Strategic Partnership

The San Francisco 49ers the San Francisco Travel Association have formed a multi-year global partnership designed to leverage the 49ers brand and fanbase to drive visitors to San Francisco.

The agreement marks the NFL team’s first partnership with a domestic travel destination and was finalized in advance of the upcoming large-scale events set to take place at team’s Levi’s Stadium, which in 2026 include both the Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup.

Under the agreement, San Francisco Travel becomes the official domestic travel partner of the San Francisco 49ers. The deal calls for joint international marketing efforts that will focus on Mexico and the U.K. — two key visitor markets for San Francisco Bay Area tourism. As part of the NFL’s Global Markets Program, the 49ers have official marketing rights through both markets. Elevate will serve as the 49ers global agency of record, supporting the partnership.

“Each year, millions of fans around the world cheer for the San Francisco 49ers,” said Anna Marie Presutti, president and CEO of San Francisco Travel. “This partnership lets us bring the magic of San Francisco directly to those fans at games, online, and at events in Mexico, the U.K., and here at home. We’ll work together to promote San Francisco as a must-visit destination and highlight the 49ers.”

The new partnership will include joint campaigns, co-branded activations, support of official 49ers events in Mexico and the U.K., international sweepstakes and prominent visibility at Levi’s Stadium. That visibility is expected to include digital video board and LED signage, as well as experiential gameday activations.
